What counts as an event?
Any tracked user or system action: pageview, feature click, API call, cron job run. Identify calls and metadata are free.
Can we self-host?
The collector and SDKs are open source (MIT). The full stack (metrics layer + dashboards) is available as a single-tenant deployment in your cloud — see the Enterprise plan.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — 14 days of the Scale plan, no credit card. Your data stays if you downgrade afterwards.
How is GDPR handled?
EU data residency by default, cookieless mode, automatic DSAR exports, and a DPA you can sign in the app.
What happens if we go over our event quota?
Nothing breaks. We keep collecting, show you the overage in the app, and bill $4 per extra million events at the end of the month — or you move to the next tier.
Do you have startup or non-profit pricing?
Yes. Companies under $1M ARR and registered non-profits get Scale at 50% off for the first year. Write to us from your work email.
